Welland House offers accommodation for 51 residents in 41 single and 5 twin
rooms, the majority of which are equipped with full en-suite facilities. Beautifully
furnished throughout, Welland House provides a gracious and welcoming home
for elderly and retired ladies and gentlemen.
We have a wide selection of single and companion en-suite rooms, all of which
have been decorated to provide the highest standards in comfort and care. Our
bedrooms offer T.V, Satellite, Internet and a telephone socket can be installed for
a private telephone if required. At Welland House, we encourage our residents to
bring any special personal items such as paintings or ornaments, to help you feel
more at home and a digital safe is provided for each room for any items of special
value. All rooms are fitted with a nurse call system for your safety.
Meal times at Welland House are a real pleasure, where our resident chef creates
an interesting and varied choice of dishes designed to appeal to all tastes, using
fresh local produce where possible. Meals can be taken together with other
residents or, if you prefer, in the privacy of your own room. Morning coffee and
afternoon tea are served in the main sitting room and drinks and snacks are
available at anytime of day or night.
At Welland House, we are committed to caring for people with terminal illnessesor diseases in the final phase of their lives. We specialise in this area of care and have been awarded the Gold Standards Framework. This government initiative is to optimise end of life care.
Staff are also commited to the Worcestershire County Council Dementia Care Programme to improve the quality of person centered care provided for people with dementia in the country and have recently recieved recognition for this.
Here at Welland House, we welcome family and friends to dine with residents
with prior arrangement and on special occasions, we can organise celebratory
luncheons or teas.
